Youth and educational policies

In the direction of creation and analysis of youth and educational policies, the program for research, analysis and creation of youth and educational policies works to bring education policies closer to the standards defined in European documents, and the needs of the labor market.

Some of the activities as part of the program aim at increasing the transparency and accountability of higher education institutions, improving the quality of education and study conditions, promoting students, pupils and young people as partners in decision-making processes. Among other things, the program aims to build a culture of tolerance, non-violence and inter-ethnic trust between young people through the educational process.

The organization has carried out monitoring of the work of the Agency for Youth and Sports and in 2016/17 made an analysis of the implementation of the National Strategy for Youth and the Strategy for Education.

The program offers its members the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the national regulation in the field of education and youth, at the same time to compare it with European regulations and practices, to cooperate with the relevant institutions in these areas, to experience what the advocacy and lobbying processes look like in practice.

The program simultaneously works on advocating for better policies for young people and in education through participation in working groups, giving recommendations and comments on documents and participating in the creation of policies and laws, as well as conducting consultations with young people.

MOF is directly involved in processes that promote youth participation and youth policies. The organization contributed to the creation of the Law on Higher Education and the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies, which was adopted in 2020. Through analysis, research and recommendations for public policies, MOF strives to reduce the space between public institutions and young people and encourage them to approach them if they are facing certain problems or have suggestions and ideas.
